Project Governance

As an oversight function project governance at Pharmaplan provides a framework with structure, processes, decision-making models and tools for managing projects. For a smart execution the framework is agreed with all relevant internal and external stakeholders. It is consistent with the overall objectives as documented in the agreement with the customer and ensures a clear understanding of who assumes accountability for the success of the project.

Based on the framework the project is steered by project governance during operation when it comes to budgets, schedules, quality goals, as well as a definition of meeting structures, roles, responsibilities, procedures and code of conduct.

The process also ensures, that the Pharmaplan quality system, standards and methods, including our group-wide project planning model, are the basis for execution to the extent possible.

Additionally all relevant commercial tasks in cooperation with Project Controlling and Finance are defined and followed-up on a regular basis.

Project governance is a critical element of any project, but especially for complex and risky projects. By defining, documenting and communicating reliable, repeatable project practices it ensures the success of projects managed by Pharmaplan.
